As You Go: Five Disciplines to Glorify God AS WE GO
This morning we will examine the early church in Acts 2 whose lives were meshed together through embracing an identity in Christ. This church was void of any cultural elements of success, worldly strategies, or cultural evangelical expectations. They were committed to spending and sharing their lives together as they Glorified God and model for us their early disciplines as a Church.
// Small Group Questions
1. What did God teach you through this passage and sermon? Share the work of God in your heart with the group.
2. What questions did this passage and sermon raise in your mind? This would be a great opportunity as a group to use the Ask a Pastor feature and that way we can address it either directly or in the messages in the future.
3. How is community part of our mission to Glorify God? How is individualism hindering us from experiencing community?
4. What aspect of life in the early church do you most desire for our church or small group?
5. Which of Pastor Chris’ questions do you need to address most in your life? Why?
// Five Questions:
1. Am I being taught?
2. Am I praying with others?
3. Am I providing care and contributions?
4. Am I growing with and spending time with others?
5. Is my identity in Christ unifying me with others, even those who differ from my age, ethnicity, preferences, or socioeconomic status?
