Sermon-Based Small Groups
Small Groups are groups of 8 - 16 adults that allow us time to fellowship, pray, and discuss the worship sermon message. We also have opportunities in our small groups to minister to one another to meet spiritual, physical, and emotional needs. In short, it is where we do life together.

The people we read about in Scripture faced many of the same challenges we do today. By observing how biblical characters brought their fears and frustrations to God, we can learn to do the same. Filled with encouragement and truth, this study will remind us that God's character and presence can give us strength to face any difficulty.
Join us as we delve into Scripture, finding help, hope, and refreshment for our souls.

Meeting upstairs in room 214
Duration: TBD - begins January 5th
Materials Needed: book: Paul - A Man of Grace and Grit by Charles R. Swindoll (see Clayton for books), Bible
Intended audience: Men of all ages
The apostle Paul was, in his own words, "the chief of all sinners." Yet, this colossal figure left an indelible signature of greatness. Join well known pastor and author Chuck Swindoll in Great Lives: Paul as he examines the influence and impact of this remarkable man. Tough, tenacious, and fiercely determined, Paul pursued his divine mission with unflinching resolve, and God used him mightily to turn the world upside down for Christ. Perhaps that's why Paul's life is such a source of hope for us. If the chief of sinners can be forgiven and become God's chosen vessel, can't He forgive and use us as well? Drawing largely from the Acts of the Apostles, Swindoll paints a vivid picture of Paul's incredible life and legacy, tracing the story of how God reached down to Paul in all his self-righteous zeal and crushed his pride, softened his heart, and transformed this once-violent aggressor into an influential spokesman for Christ.
We'll read a portion of Paul - A Man of Grace and Grit each week, and discuss as a group. Stop by Room 214 any Sunday at 9am to spend time with us - - - or commit to the whole study! We'd love to welcome you (we're a welcoming group)! And tell a friend about us! (No need to purchase the book - - - I've got books on order. If you let me know you'll be joining us, I'll do my best to have the required number on hand for the January 5 launch!)

We are surrounded by people who have a different view of reality, and since we want to be more effective ambassadors for our Lord, we need to learn how to evaluate the worldviews of those we want to reach with the Gospel. Following the Stand to Reason University (STR U) course Evaluating Worldviews, we will learn what a worldview is, the questions that every worldview needs to answer, how to evaluate a worldview, and the role apologetics plays in discovering reality. We'll seek answers to which worldview is true and which ones are false, with a goal of perceiving the world the way it truly is so we can live and thrive in reality.
